Totally Terrific Twiggy!
Dearest Twiggy, you are a totally terrific young lady, indeed! To begin with, you're absolutely gorgeous. What a beautiful American Shorthair Silver Tabby you are, with those amazing markings on your short, fluffy, soft-looking fur. I don't think I've ever seen another cat with markings like yours! You have just faint versions of the usual Tabby stripes along your torso, and then there's that very distinct dark pattern on your forehead coming down between your lovely big pale-green eyes. Thank you for sharing all those great photos with us, which really show you off in all your glory. You certainly do know how to work the camera, don't you! You're posing beautifully in every one of those shots. In that last one, it appears that you have touches of pale brown in that mostly silvery fur. And aren't you ever a good sport to let your dear Purrrson dress you up like a flower! I wish I could reach through the screen and over to Prairie Village, KS to pet you, and pet your dear cat buddy Emmett and friend Joe and Black Lab brother Logan, too! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrsons will pet you all for me
.
And what a delightful Purrrsonality you have! You're very special in that you "have kittens" every day, carrying your puffball babies around and meowing loudly. I'd love to see that! You're a real cuddler and not at all shy. You befriend everyone who visits. You like to be close to Mommy while she's working. You supervise Daddy while he's making dinner, especially if it's fish. You enjoy tearing up tissue paper or sewing patterns at times. Your family takes great care of you! You and Emmett spend a lot of time together, and you like to hang out with Joe at night. Brother Logan lets you have your way with things like drinking from his water dish. You all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Twiggy, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Mommy and Daddy and Emmett and Joe and Logan and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats, with a special serving of fish!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
