    Precioius Penny the Pug!

Good morning, Penny! Happy Dog of the Day, sweetheart!

What a pawsome, pawsitively precious Pug you are, Penny! I smiled from the inside out at the sight of your sweet, smooshy face, those big, brown eyes! Consider me smitten!

I'm sure it wasn't easy, Penny, losing your two life long Pug besties within weeks; having to be rehomed. But happily your extended family stepped up in your time of need, welcoming you into their Pug loving home with open arms! And to help heal your broken heart, and theirs, your humans gifted you two kitty friends, and once again life was good!

You may not have been a planned addition to your pack, Penny, but what a wonderful addition you turned out to be, indeed! How lucky your Mom and Dad are, having a furkid as beautiful, as big hearted, as sweet and as loving as you! Be they human or 4 legged; skinned, furred or stuffed; big or small you befriend them all! And to think your lineage harkens back to your Dad's Pugs from years past makes you even that much more special!

What an absolute treasure you are, Penny! Inside and out, in looks, personality and heart, you couldn't be any more special if you tried, 32 lbs of pure Pug perfection!

Thanks for starting my cold and snowy day with the biggest smile, cutie pie! Meeting you today, reading your Mom's love filled tribute, poring over our utterly heart-melting photos has been such a treat! I hope you're treated to a very special Dog of the Day celebration, Penny...playing with your kitty sibs; enjoying a nice, long walk; feasting on your fave foods and treats; cuddling with your humans and stuffies, hehe; being loved and pampered to pieces; treated to all your BIG heart desires and more by your family and all of your adoring friends and fans Phew! Lots of love, snuggles and smooches to you, precious Pug Penny, our very special and most deserving Dog of the Day, EVERY day!!! Love to your dear kitty siblings, too!

    Be still my heart!!!

Dearest Penny, you are absolutely precious! What a beautiful lady you are with that light brown coat and the black mask and ears. You have the sweetest face with what looks like sad wrinkles around your forehead and eyes, but then that mouth just might be smiling (and probably is!). Thank you for sharing those great photos with us! You look so studious in your glasses.

And what a story you have to tell! You grew up with two dear older pugs, and at ages 12 and 13 they passed away, one two weeks after the other. You were six years old then, and your dear parents-to-be adopted you from their mom, your grandma-to-be, so you stayed in the family. They knew you were lonely after losing your pug-pals. They had recently lost their dear cat of 18 years and thought of getting a cat for you. They wound up getting two cats! You and they became the best of friends, of course. You love FOOD and walks and cuddling and kids and cats and dogs and your stuffies and sleeping! You and your parents and kitties all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Penny, on being chosen Dog of the Day! We hope you and your dear parents and grandma and kitty pals and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats. We know your dear Pug-Angels are rejoicing with you at the Rainbow Bridge!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
