Dearest Penny, you are absolutely precious! What a beautiful lady you are with that light brown coat and the black mask and ears. You have the sweetest face with what looks like sad wrinkles around your forehead and eyes, but then that mouth just might be smiling (and probably is!). Thank you for sharing those great photos with us! You look so studious in your glasses.
And what a story you have to tell! You grew up with two dear older pugs, and at ages 12 and 13 they passed away, one two weeks after the other. You were six years old then, and your dear parents-to-be adopted you from their mom, your grandma-to-be, so you stayed in the family. They knew you were lonely after losing your pug-pals. They had recently lost their dear cat of 18 years and thought of getting a cat for you. They wound up getting two cats! You and they became the best of friends, of course. You love FOOD and walks and cuddling and kids and cats and dogs and your stuffies and sleeping! You and your parents and kitties all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Penny, on being chosen Dog of the Day! We hope you and your dear parents and grandma and kitty pals and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats. We know your dear Pug-Angels are rejoicing with you at the Rainbow Bridge!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
