Clever Chloe!
Dearest Chloe, you are beautiful, an utterly gorgeous Tortoiseshell lady. That colorful fur is so pretty and has such an interesting design and looks so soft, and you have the sweetest face with those lovely big green eyes on either side of that white streak going from your forehead past your nose. Thank you for sharing those great photos with us! You are stunning in them all, and that last crystal-clear tight closeup of your face is breathtaking. I wish I could reach through the screen and down to Georgia to pet you, and pet your half-brothers Cookie and Chessie and your other kitty housemates, too! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrsons will pet you for me
.
And what a story you have to tell! You certainly do have quite an extensive family tree (or family orchard) there! You and your tortie sisters Tiggi, Marcy, and Holly were born to mom Sophie outdoors in New Jersey. Many more kittens came along before you were all caught and brought inside and made into housecats. Sophie provided some 20(?) kits before finally being caught and had the cork put in the bottle, so to speak.. after which she lived the last 7 years of her life as a pampered, loved, and spoiled house cat!
Now you, Chloe, are living a pretty soft life, with plenty of food and pets and laps to sit in and toys to play with! You're very sweet and affectionate, and you get plenty of attention and playtime when you want it. You have a great big purrr for a small kitty, letting your dear Purrrsons know when you're happy. You and five siblings moved from New Jersey to Florida ten years ago, so no more concerns about cold winters! You and your Purrrsons and kitty housemates all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Chloe,on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrsons and kitty sibs and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
