    Clover at the beach

Not too bad, huh? Can you believe Clover was afraid of the water last year? I got her last July and I took her to beach a lot. She never wanted to go near the water. I'm very happy to show you her beach photos this year She only goes into fetch a stick, but she will do this forever!

Nice pictures-- she sure doesn't look fearful of water, guess she outgrew it. She seems like she wouldn't mind spending the day in there...

This was her 3rd time out so far. Her first time was a little hesitant. She'd slowly walk out, and when it was time to swim she seemed a little confused and stopped. Then she'd just leap forward and swim to her stick

Hi, Clover! I like the fourth picture from the top in the second post, happy girl! I enjoyed seeing you having fun at the beach!

Great pictures. Her fur matches the beach so nicely
You're lucky to have a dog who will play fetch and even go into the water to fetch. Makes tiring them so much easier, haha.

Great pictures, she seems to love the water-- never did know a lab that could stay out of water. She got over her fear pretty fast, I think it might become her favourite spot from now on.

Yeah, we were a little surprised when she seemed to like it less and less last summer, but she was just a pup then. (she was born May 20, 2011) I also had to give her a few baths when I first got her cause she got dirty (and smelled when I took her home) so I think she figured water was bad.

I've been taking her to the beach frequently though now that I know she likes it. Yesterday she started playing in it on her own for the first time. She was only going in when I threw a stick. I'm glad to see her enjoying her self so much. I can't wait for it to be warmer so I can swim with her

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone

I DO remember last year, you wanted a dog you could swim with and were worried she'd never do that with you. Ha haaa, she just needed some time to mature!

I love that 4th pic, even though the camera was tilted, makes it seem all the more special. And now she goes in to play without you tossing the stick? I think you are all set, both of you, ha haaa.
