MY NEW JERSEY My back Yard

The first pic is the bear in the middle of the walkway looking down into the yard
The 2nd & 3rd is him in the yard
4 is the turkeys in the yard
5 is him by the lake about 150 ft from the house

#1 is sunfower by road
#2 is Granddaughter with sunflower
#3 hummingbird on feeder right off front of house
#4 deer crossing the road.....to get to the other side LOL
#5 is a lunar moth that my husband found on the front lawn

I love these!! I just posted pictures of some of our local parks, because I was surprised at how pretty NJ can be! I like the bear ones especially, I live in Central Jersey (monmouth county) so we don't get many here. It must be really exciting to see them in your yard. Thanks for sharing I am so jealous of your house, it's right on the edge of a lake and the woods? You're so lucky!

I had a momma bear & 4 babies in my garage over the summer (I forgot to close the garage door)

The bears are everywhere here since I live in the woods...

I agree, some NJ areas are awesome. I live in Central NJ. It's also more than The Soprano's, The Jersey Shore and Jerseylicious. It seems we are getting very popular on TV...NJ has arrived

The neighbors dog likes to chase the poor things out of the neighborhood.[

Heres one he chased up the tree in my yard

He stayed up there over an hour.
the dog would hide and when the bear tried to come down the dog would go back over to the bottom of the tree barking and the bear would climb back up again.
he finally had enough and came all the way down and tried to make a run for it[

The dog followed,
we think the dog is part coyote.

How long did the bears stay in your garage?

They only stayed for a minute or 2- they first pulled the recycling out into the driveway and when they realized it wasn't yummy garbage, they went back in and pulled the garbage out (so much for bear proof cans...) When they had their garbage bag of choice, mama carried it away...
