These are beautiful, too. Thank you, Kirsten!
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Amazing how black and whites can be so beautiful. I especially love the one of the lamp post with the leafless tree branches in the background. I would frame that and put it on a wall.

    Hi Kirsten,
I can't thank you enough for the visit to your beautiful hometown! As always, your pictures are awesome and make me feel as though I'm right there along the walkways. You certainly have done it again!

Please give the lovely Luna and Lily some lovies for me?

Thank you! Well, there's a reason why they're black & white. At this time of the year, there seem to be no colors left in this world, that's why the picture style setting of my camera is now on b&w. Color shots these days would just look dull and boring, but b&w can still make them interesting, and that's what I was trying to do.

You live in such a beautiful place, and the architecture is truly amazing. It's so totally different than anything we see here in the U.S.

They all have a lovely, timeless effect to them.

    *****

    Walk these cobblestones
Following the footsteps of generations past
    Stop and listen
    For the ghosts of laughter
And whispered conversations from long ago
That live in the mortar and spaces between the stones
    Just waiting for
    one
    still
    attentive
    listener

    Hold your breath
    Close your eyes
And let history unfold around you
In all its pain and joy

    It is here
    Present
If you just breathe it in carefully
