Is it wrong to teach tricks because I'm lazy? *video*

So my computer/tv room gets really cold in the winter, and keeping the door closed over helps it keep warm. My 3 animals can't seem to make their minds up about if they want to be in the room, or not so they often come or go, opening the door every single time. Urg! Being lazy, I decided to teach Clover to close the door Well, we're still working on it as you can see

I also taught Zeke to put clothes in the laundry basket when I hurt my back one time They seem to enjoy it though?

    Love the video!

You are the second person THIS WEEK to announce teaching her dog to close doors! (The other is on the bichon forum). Well done!

Here, read about Figi, you can teach Clover the "look for fleas" trick too, ha haaa: http://dogoftheday.com/archive/2012/February/22.html
I think Clover is too big for the "hide" the sack would break!

Heh, no not at all. The dog gets something out of it (praise, treats) and we get something out of it. Nothing wrong with that!
Taggart doesn't do any helpful tricks but Tiki knew how to close doors and she would also fetch the TV remote

Clover in action! Love it. Now I want to see more videos of her.

It is amazing what you can teach them and Labs just seem to want to please more.

Our chocolate Lab Maggie, many years ago, knew so many words. She would bring shoes, the TV remote, a ball, bone all on command.
