    Woody's here!!

    No no, no new cat
Everyday I get visits from my own green woodpecker! I've called him/her Woody !!

He/she is very shy and flies away as soon as he/she hears a noise!!

    What a beautiful bird.

The male woodpeckers around here generally have a red feather cap on there heads.

We feed them peanuts & sometimes they hide them in the cedar board siding of our house.
The frost is on the pumpkin & I've been BOO'D by two pet talk ghosts.
    Thank you Fritz & Cassiesmom

Cool! I love to see different types of birds in my yard.

I want to move there! You have rainbows and pretty birds.

    Wonderful photos, thank you!

(Is this the same type of bird you posted last year? When you were trying to identify the type?)

Sometimes in the spring and summer I can hear the woodpeckers pecking on the trees on the tree row near my house.

My son used to call them woodpackers when he was a little boy.

Hello, Woody! How nice to meet you!

My mom and dad had a woodpecker in their neighborhood last summer. He was fun to watch! I hope he returns this summer.

When I first saw your thread, my first thought was another very fortunate little kitty found their purrfect furever home. Woody is beautiful and it must be a real treat to see him in your garden every day. What do the Gabriels Girls think of their visitor?

I don't think they have noticed him so far, because as soon as he detects movement or noises, he flies away!
Also, every time I see Woody, I keep the cats indoor, because my Maya is a true bird catcher, and I would be so sad if she would catch that lovely bird
