Thread: I've been assaulted! (and Lady's been offended!)

I've been assaulted! (and Lady's been offended!)

I had to go to the pet store today to get cat food.

It was a meet the dogs/fundraiser drive for the local greyhound rescue.

I came out of the aisle with the bag of kitty food and I was greeted by a very dainty nose asking for skritches. It was the "I can smell you, you're a dog person, love me!" greeting.

Being that I had been rudely accosted, what was I to do?

I reached down, grabbed a handful of ears, and started scritching. I was then accosted by the entire pack, who proceeded to lean against me (or attempt to ) in unison.

Lady wasn't very happy with me when I got home.

She really is a sweetie, does someone need a greyhound?

Ha ha! The dogs can always tell when we've been 'stepping out' on them, can't they?

To add insult to injury, I just took her to the vet the other day to get her tootsies trimmed, so she was ALREADY peeved at me.

Cats are the same way. I loved up my sister's cat the other night when I was at her house and when I came home I got sniffed up and down by Buddy.

Yup, my dogs do that after I've been at the shelter. Heck, they do it when I've been out to dinner!! LOL

That greyhound is beautiful! Reminds me of the greyhound my sister had, Maggie. They are such sweet dogs.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Lucky, I LOVE greyhounds! What a pretty girl she is.

Poor Lady. You "cheated" on her.

When I come home with doggy smell all over me, Mikey gets excited and then realizes the doggy isn't actually there. He gets more mad at the fact that I GOT to play and he didn't. :P

While looking at the rescue on Petfinder I found 2 of the other dogs who were there looking for homes. One of them was the son of the dog whose pic I posted.

I had to decline the offer of adopting a grey, Lady is far too set in her ways to accept another pack member now.

Yeppers. Our kittites always know when we've been "cheating" on them too!

    What a beautiful greyhound!

((((HUGS)))) for Lady-- your human was just saying hello to some goggies who asked for skritchies.

Milo always smells Cassie on me when I cat-sit him, and Cassie always gives me the evil kitty eye when she smells him on me after I've been there! I tell her I have more than enough love for both of them.
