prayers/well wishes please! update post #6

I've posted before about Bubs, our "outdoor" cat. Basically a stray that we have fed outside for close to 8 years. He wants no part of being touched, pet etc so we just feed and house him and worry...anyway he seems to be having a tooth issue right now. We put out some broth with antibiotics mixed in, hoping that at least he will drink that, stay hydrated, and get medicated at the same time. Catching him is completely out of the question. So if I may request some healing thoughts and wishes for the big guy...thanks....

Healing thoughts and prayers for Bubs... Take care and get better, big guy.

Perhaps your vet or your local rescue people could suggest a way to get him to bring him in.. maybe loan a humane trap you could set up some nice juicy, tasty-smelling food in?..

Thank you for looking out for this guy and caring about him.

Oh poor little Bubs. I'm afraid I have no suggestions but am sending lots of prayers. come on Bubs, just think of it as thin gravy.....with benefits.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

It has been 2 weeks and no sign of him. I fear he is gone but we may never know for sure. He has come back from some really scary injuries over the years but the condition he was in (not being able to eat or drink) and the extreme heat we had last week...if he is at the bridge I hope he knows how much we loved him and how much we wanted to bring him inside....

Continuing prayers that Bubs will come back to you or is somehow safe and cared for. If he is at the Bridge, he of course knows all about your love for him and is waiting to greet you, One Fine Day.

    Bubs

It hurts, not knowing what's happened, if he's ok or if he's suffering. I've tried to help several strays over the years, so I know how it goes. My current two outdoor cats, my "grey boys," were strays; fortunately, both have become trusting of me (and me alone), so that I can get them help when needed. When Shadow broke his leg years ago, I was able to take him to the surgeon and have that taken care of. Smokey is more leery; I had him to the vet a few weeks ago for his annual rabies shot - what an adventure! But it got done.

My sympathy is with you; if Bubs is at the Bridge, as you think, he knows beyond any doubt that you love him - and he's waiting for you. Your years of love and devotion ensure that he's yours forever!

@Trinityagain: Keep praying and hoping that Bubs is alive, in good health and is returning home. Keep praying, you never know when your prayer can be answered. I was crying my heart out when I couldn't find one of the kittens from my garden, but, I kept praying that Oh God! Please let it be alive and in good health and let it re-unite with its mother! I thought it was gone forever as, when I called it and whistled and whistled, it would not respond even though it is kind of trained that a whistle means lunch time, but, still it didn't come out and guess what, later in the night, it came out from where it was hiding! and you wouldn't believe how happy I was that I kept saying, thank you god thank you! So, keep praying, pray and pray and hope that Bubs is safe, in good health and coming back home. Prayers for Bubs and I hope you may go through all this with patience and ease.

Edit: AND DO NOT EVEN THINK THAT BUBS IS AT THE RAINBOW BRIDGE! You should hope that it is safe and happy wherever it is. Don't think Bubs is gone. Think, Bubs is here.
