Wom, after I saw your win, I wondered exactly what a pith helmet is, anyway... So I looked up pith helmet on Wikipedia. This is a picture from the article, but I noticed the emblem on the side of the hat. It's too bad the tag is in the way, because it looks similar to the one you posted.
It also said that the pith helmet was adopted for civilian use and contributed to the design of the modern style Panama hat.

I've Been Frosted
Yes, that's the same helmet. I guess they used that because it was lighter and also cooler, and gave them protertion at the same time. The helmet had two badges on it, one on each side. The tricolour badge I don't have yet, but I'll eventually get one. Some pics.............
