    Mikey is at the Vet

Yesterday, Mikey's eyes started getting very red and itchy. He would barely open them and scratch his head on the floor, crying, trying to relieve them. We think it is either allergies (which we never had a problem with last year?) or pink eye. I am not so sure about pink eye because it is in both eyes, I wouldn't imagine that to be too common in dogs, but what do I know? We gave him benadryl and it seemed to help (not much but a little) and he was opening his eyes more. I took him for a walk and it got really bad...so I am thinking it could be pollen or something. My parents are at the Vet with him now. I just hope it is nothing serious. Thanks for listening, I know I worry too much.

Dogs can and often do get conjunctivitis in both eyes at the same time. Mine have on several occasions.

You don't worry "too much," all of us worry when something happens with the furkids.

Do let us know what the vet says!

Prayers for Mickey, he sure was uncomfortable, poor boy.

Awwww Mikey. I'm sorry your eyes are bothering you sweetie. Hopefully the vet can have a look see, give you some meds, probably drops, and make them feel all better soon. Kisses for my fav boy!!

Well Mikey has conjunctivitis in both eyes. He has 2 sets of drops to take. I am so glad it was nothing worse. She also checked for ulcers, etc. He's acting pretty normal now, although when he looks up he still closes his eyes sometimes. It makes me feel so bad when he does that! Thanks for the well wishes guys, I will keep you updated. He will be going for the re-check next week. We also don't know how he got it, guess we never will. It's just kind of random lol.

It does seem random here as well.

Keep up the drops, they will do the trick! Even after he seems fine, don't stop until the vet says so.

    Mickey, glad you feel better!
