Hi Dakota! Greetings and congrats on your much deserved reign as Dog of the Day, cutie pie! What an adorable little Retriever man you are! Oh, you make me yearn for those exhausting, fun filled, joyful days, raising a puppy! My first doggie (as an adult) was a beautiful Lab/Golden girl named Jingles, and since then, Retrievers of all breeds and blends have been my passion! You've only been with your family for a short time Dakota and no surprise, you've already taken your rightful place in their hearts! Well, who could resist an adorable, lovable boy such as you? And looking at those massive paws, I'd say they're going to have a lot of Golden/Labbie to love! Your family is one lucky bunch, having a beautiful, smart, lovable best friend and furkid such as you, to love and cherish forever! Thanks for starting my day off with a big smile, sweetheart! I wish for you a very happy, extra special day of celebration; digging for treasures, taking a car ride, being spoiled rotten; and countless more years of shared love and companionship iwith your wonderful family! Thank you for sharing your boy Dakota with us. He's a mixture of two of my favorite breeds, the Yellow Lab and the Golden Retriever and he's the best of both. I love that white patch on his chest.
Sounds like you have a potential mischief-maker on your hands, along with a cuddly-boy, again, the best of both. He sounds like the type of dog I'd want if I were looking but I'm not. Right now, I'm very satisfied and contented with our Shih Tzu/Pomeranian mix named "Harvick", after Kevin Harvick, the NASCAR driver. He's a very loving lad.
I pray Dakota (a really good name for him) has a long, happy, healthy life, with lots of love, good food, some cool toys, tons of "treasures" and good playmates. May the Lord bless you for giving Dakota a very good home and if you have not already done so, I pray you come to know the Savior our God so generously gave us so we can live forever with Him when we leave this earth. I can ask nothing better for you, my friend.

Thanks to all who left such wonderful comments about Dakota. I didn't know about "Pet Talk" until quite awhile after he was Dog of the Day, but when I did discover it, it was so much fun to see your comments!!
Dakota is doing great, he's almost 7 months old, has grown a lot, and is still an energy ball!
You all have adorable dogs as well
