    Lost Pet Prevention & Recovery

My name is Joseph Andrew Sapia. I have just completed a three year book project, a labor of love rooted in the personal experience of having lost a beloved pet that was never found. The book is called the complete guide to Lost Pet Prevention & Recovery. It's the first and only book on this important topic. The book gotten great reviews, the Humane Society of the United States has called it "a must read for everyone who is concerned with the ultimate safety of pet animals". We would like feedback on our web site www.lostpetfoundpet.com. We worked so hard on this site. We have some really great free resources for pet owners, we have a free ebook Pet ID: Your Lost Pet's Ticket Home and our Lost Pet Flyer Generator/tutorial is one of a kind. Please spread the word and help us get this important information into the hands of every pet owner.

    Thank you so much

    Joseph Andrew Sapia

Hi Joe!! Congratulations on your monumental accomplishment!! A much needed resource for sure! Many times here on PT we get a frantic post about a lost pet and "what to do?????" Your work is invaluable and I intend to forward your link to rescue groups I work with as well as friends and family. Thank you for your incredible dedication and hard work. The website is fantastic. Going back to do some more peeking. Thanks again!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. We just got our free ebook up on the site. It is adapted from the book. We feel that proper id is so important to the overall safety of our pets that we wanted everyone to be able to have that section of the book whether ever buy the book or not. We also created our affilate program so that animal shelters, rescue groups, and animal humane organizations could raise money while at the same time helping us get this important information into the hands of pet owners. Did you see the Lost Pet Flyer Generator? That was a lot of work. The funny thing is we were not sure how we would do it even though in the book we say it will be on our site, so we had to make it work. Thank God we were able to do it.

Thanks so much for the positive feedback

PS how do I attach images to my posts and in my profile? I can't figure it out.

You certainly did one incredible job, setting up that website!!! The free ebook is a fabulous, most generous addition! That alone will be of great help to so many who can't afford the book. And the flyer generator is invaluable. As your book says, time is of the essence and this tool will be a critical aid in helping find that beloved friend. I work with two rescue groups and find forward them all your info. re: the associate program. Getting the word out is so important and you've made that very easy!

Forgive me for not mentioning it before, but I'm so sorry your precious Pete was lost. What a loving, lasting, heartfelt tribute to your furry friend.

As for the attachments...You already saw the " attach file" option at the bottom of the page when you write a reply. Those you can attach. straight from your computer. You can also post a picture directly into your post by adding [I M G] ...then picture's web adress....[/ I M G] But no spaces as I have typed!!

If you want to post a picture under your signature (that which appears below your posts) you can add a quote, phrase, picture etc. (I see you already added a quoataion.) It will appear at the end of each post. Just hit "usercp" at the top of any page; hit edit profile and scroll down to "signature." There you can type in anything you want, including your website address, or a photo. Just make sure the photo is stored somewhere on the web, not from your computer. Add [I M G] to the front of the address and the same with a /before the I at the end; no spaces. You can also add a picture below your username, an avatar. It can be a small sized pic., animation, etc., with a max. size of 60x60 pixels. For that, click on "edit options" and at the bottom you will see "Add Avatar" If you click that on, it will tell you how.

Not sure what you mean by adding an attach. to your profile. I don't think you can post a pic. within your profile info. But make sure you add your web address there! Confused??? LOL! Just yell if you have problems!

It will take a while to get through all of this, but thank you for sharing your link and allowing us to get to know you. What a labor of love you and your sister have created. I wish you much success with the book, and also a big thanks from myself and all the innocent animals who might be saved through your efforts.

    Looking forward to reading more.

Thanks to all who replied to my post. I am still getting used to this forum I think I am replying to everyone at the same time here. I can't see how to reply to individuals when there are multiple replies to my original post. I hope you all get this and forgive my limited understanding.

You're right Joe. When you post a reply everyone sees it and all the other responses as well. If you want to talk with someone privately, you can send them a private message. In the bar above their username is a little box "PM." Click that and you can send them a private message. If you want to receive PM's from others, go into usercp at the top of the page, click on "edit options" and answer yes to enable private messaging. You can choose to get an email notification that you have received a PM or when you're on the site, you can choose to get a "pop up" notice you have received one. Don't worry! You'll get the hang of it soon! Hope to see some pics of your creatures soon! Wow, 7 parakeets!! We've got a LOT of bird lovers here!! Hope you're having a safe and happy Halloween! What a helpful website you have created and likewise your book would be a powerful tool to have on hand should the need arise. The thought occured to me that a person could purchase the book and after reading it to be aware of the basics, donate it to their local library where it could be available to be accessed in time of need by many.
