Hi Big Boy! You are a very handsome cat! So, you're not happy staying indoors because you want to hunt outside. I'm sorry you have to stay inside but you can't just go around attacking doves (even though you want to). You remind me of my Luke in that he is not happy some of the time and takes it out on LilGirl. He goes outside at times to watch the birds but he's too slow to catch anything. Now back to you, it sounds as if you are loved and have a good home with patient caring humans. Now you be a good boy and enjoy being COTD! Kay in NC

Carl, all of my Fur Posse were outdoor cats, even semi-feral and yet they live the good life indoors now w/no protests whatsoever. You'll get used to it, bud, even if it takes a little while. It's much safer indoors for kitties; bad things can happen outdoors and besides, your neighbor's doves will be grateful, too. You're such a handsome Tuxie so you should flaunt your stuff to your humans and let them gaze upon your beauty. If you're looking for some activity so that you can slim down, tell your humans to buy the Cat Dancer. It's a feather on a wire attached to a long stick. When I swing it around, my cats jump up in the air after it as though they were kittens. They could play for hours! Enjoy your day as COTD, handsome boy.

i love the look in your eyes in your picture -seems to be saying get this hat off of me but you do look cute.

Carls family-i see you have a deck outside your house -just a thought- they do sell cat enclosures that are screened in and large so carl can be "outside"without getting in trouble.

What a Good Santa you make Carl, even though like My Dear Michael you do not look as though you are in exactly the festive spirit.
You are such a Terrific Tuxedo, and we bet that you are suchj a joy to come home to.

We are sorry that you miss being outside Carl, but we guess that those Doves have their rights too, and we would hate to see your Family get in trouble, or your neighbors do something bad to you.
You should learn to be an indoor Cat, it is nota bad life!!!

Carl, you are a very handsome cat and a good sport to wear the Santa hat so mom could take your picture. I like the picture of you trying to open the door - you may succeed some day! I have two kitties who like to go outdoors. They each have a 50' rope tied to their halter from the porch. They have plenty of rope to go exploring, and Grover has even caught a few mice in high grass near the house and Macy has caught chipmunks (I made her let them go). Maybe your mom would let you go out, Carl, if you can't roam too far. You are obviously much loved by your family, Carl, and I hope you have many more years together. You are a great COTD!

You will get used to being indoors, which is safer for you anyway! You are a big healthy boy - not fat like Crunch here (it's hard to keep him on his diet)...
