    2 AM cat games

Practically every morning about 2 AM, my cats are running through the house chasing each other. Not all of them, but as best I can tell it is Fawn (who else, ?), Amy, Nikolai, and big Otis. Listening to their paws running across the hardwood floors doesn't bother me, but I do not know if my awaking causes them to start this odd-hour playing or whether they wake me up with their antics.

Wayne- that age old question..what came first- the chicken or the egg...sounds like the same thing with your cats...do you wake up because of their antics? Or, does your waking up start their antics?

well, here on the east coast it is 3 a.m. antics. Must be the time difference. Actually, I can sleep through anything, but my honey tells me about this running around all the time.

I would agree with Randi, I bet it's them waking you up! LOL.
I love to hear my cats running around, it doesn't bother me at all, unless they start meowing and whining for something.
but I don't hear much after I go to sleep.

When I was growing up, we always called this behavior the "midnight itchies". Hmm - that would be 3:00am East Coast time.

    Coincidence or not?
