Dear Scarlett, what a lovely surprise it was to see that a long locked red head, a beautiful Irish Setter was our DOTD!! We just don't see enough of you stunning Setters! How sweetly you pose for your precious picture! Those paws crossed so demurely, your stuffie by your side, awwwwwww!!! You and your Dad are quite the inseperable team, aren't you?? But your Mom knew all along that one look into those big, brown eyes of yours, and your Dad would be hooked for life! There's just something extra special about the loving bond between a Daddy and his special "girl!" You were a Father's Day dream come true! I know how very sad your parents must have been after the loss of their beloved Rusty. Yes, you had very big paws prints to fill. You were given a very important job, Baby Scarlett, making your family happy. And no doggie does it better than you!! You ARE, just about PERFECT!!! Won't Daddy be so proud when he sees his beautiful girl, his Baby Scarlett, is our stunning and most deserving Dog of the Day! Now why do I think that your Dad's going to spoil you rotten today??? Congratulations to you beautiful Scarlett!!!

Sounds like your mommy did the right thing when she got you as a surprise for your daddy. She's right, he probably would have said no, men are like that sometimes! I see you've stolen both of their hearts & it's no wonder why!

Good Morning Scarlett, I am in love again, what a beauty you are and yes it would be my guess that you are perfect. I love that photo of you and what a great surprise for your Dad. I am also glad to hear that you share the big bed with Mom and Dad just as Daisy does with me. It sounds like you do your job of keeping your family happy wonderfully and it is a full time job. lol

Scarlett, you have the same name as one of my doggies! You sure are a cutie....you look like you're ready to doze off at any minute. My aunt had a setter when I was growing up and I haven't seen one since! I'm glad to hear you're living the good life! Enjoy the day with your humans....as always!

Scarlett I am late with my congratulations but they are just as sincere! You are a striking pupster with your glowing red coat! Several years ago I lived two doors down from an Irish Setter and what handsome doggies you setters are! Your story is a little similar to mine in that we were dogless for about 2 years and my husband didn't want another dog because of going through the heartbreak of saying goodbye when they left for the RB. Your mommy is sort of like me because I surprised him one day with Bella and the rest is history. It sounds like you are doing a terrific job making your family happy and I know they live to make you happy too. Just look at you now - being nominated and selected as our very own Dog of the Day! Hooray for Scarlett!

I'm late too, Scarlett, but I couldn't pass up saying congratulations to a Irish Setter Dog of the Day. You are a dog after my own heart Scarlett, a cuddle bug who tries so hard to please and wakes up the Mom and Dad with tiny sweet kisses. I hope you received a new stuffie to add to your collection and to commemorate the honor of your being Dog of the Day.
