    new lambs!

I went to my aunt's house today to see her new baby lambs! They are only four days old, twins, and very cute! I took the liberty of getting some pics

    Here is the little girl:

    Here's the boy:

Here's the proud mom. The sheep behind her gave birth to twin stillborns a few days before these ones were born. Now she tries to steal these ones away every chance she gets

And this is the sheep that is due any time. I was hoping she would give birth today so I could get pics of her new ones, but she mostly just heaved in waiting.
    I've been BOO'd!

I wanted to get a pic of the father, but he wasn't there today. He's a busy boy, out impregnating many a ewe lol. My aunt studs him, and people pay lots of money for him because he's purebred, and a purebred sheep of his kind is rare
My aunt went to see how he was doing, and she said that he was in a heap on the ground, panting! He was exhausted from all those ewes lol

Sweet lambies! What kind are they? Just asking because you mentioned their dad's a purebred ... Not familiar with sheep with the patchy colors on their little lambie faces!

I can't remember the name lol. But I know that my aunts ewes aren't the same kind. The father has wool covering his entire head and face, whereas the females have dark short-haired faces. So maybe the patches are just because of the mix of the two parents?

    ADORABLE!
    I love lambs!!
Just from your description it is quite possible that the females are Suffolk, and the Ram MIGHT be a Hampshire. But I could be completely off since you are in Canada, might have other breeds of sheep.
