I LOVE asparagus, though I don't grow it. I prefer the slender stalks, no peeling needed, no woody bits, yum! And those tomato plants! I have 18 seedlings in, they are WAY smaller. I think we are behind you weather wise, for one thing.
Peel asparagus? Never heard of that before! We just microwave it until it's tender. I put salad dressing on it, my husband puts mayo on it.
And as we south jersey 'farmers' say, "you haven't had a tomato until you've had a Jersey tomato!" (as a side note, in South Jersey we do not say "joisey", LOL! We say "jer-zee")
All those decorative planters are so great, and the fact that they have meaning to you is an extra. Although, I think those are tea KETTLES, not tea pots, you have the impatiens in, he hee.
You are right, they are kettles but I've always called them "pots"...they came from my husbands late Grandmom's basement.
Thanks for sharing!
BTW, I ONLY use Cains brand mayo, not that salad or sandwich dressing stuff! Cains is only available in New England, so when I went to school in DC (over 25 years ago), I used to take a suitcase full of it with me on the plane! Hmmm, wonder what airport security would make of that if I had to do it today? He he heee.
