    URGENT Canadian/nearby US Cat Lovers

I received an urgent email today from a woman whose medical problems four years ago almost cost her her life. She was fortunately able to survive this long, and four of her six cats have since passed away of old age. Today, however, she received bad news, medically, and needs to find homes very soon for her remaining two kitties.

Sandra M. is in Toronto, Ontario. Casper and Domino are a mother and daughter pair, and are 13 and 12 years old. They are up-to-date on all their medical care, and are beautiful, loving cats.

I asked out any medical problems, and she replied:
    *******
The mom is having dental work (two extractions) and is petrified to go to clinic vet. She just came back today from getting a heart ultrasound to make sure she could have sedation for the dental to take place and she was trying to bite the front of the carrier. I was afraid she'd break a tooth. I've had a mobile vet give their shots and do check ups (shots once every three years, the protex three vaccine for panleukopenia, calicci virus and rhinotracheitis, not feline leukemia or rabies since they are indoor cats). The person would have to be patient with Casper at first, the mom but she is a lap cat and so affectionate once she trusts you. The daughter, Domino has no special needs other than to be loved.

    *****

Please, these two ladies just need a place to live out their remaining years where they can be loved. She doesn't want them to have to be put to sleep when her medical problems become severe and take her away. She does have some funds set aside for any vet care they may need.

    I have attached their pictures.

Please PM or email me if you, or anyone you know, can give these beauties a home.

This sounds exactly like a situation that happened about a year ago, right down to the name.

GILL was in touch with the person. I'll PM him this link.

Due to severe illness I am having to find a new home or homes for my wonderful cats."

I need to find loving homes for my cats!

I am ill and will soon be incapacitated. I'm looking for someone to adopt my cats, together or individually. I have had the mother (now aged 11) and her two daughters (both aged 10) since they were young. I now have to tragically part with them but am looking for good, solid, loving homes. They are all affectionate, good natured, clean, healthy, have their current shots and are spayed of course. If you are interested at all and are willing and able to help, please contact me for more information.

I am offering, through a trust fund, to pay for their food, litter and vet bills for the rest of their lives so no one would be out of pocket at all for the care of these wonderful pets.

I can be reached by email at: [email protected] (lotsacats4 @ hotmail.com).

Karen - a year ago, this woman was supposed to be near death. A woman from Germany on Care2 had seen the same email and pics the previous spring.

Maybe she did get a lease on life. GILL and his wife were ready to drive up and get the kitties - 4 at the time.

I just hope it won't be another "yes-no" stunt like it was last time.

I am sure GILL can provide more balanced perspective on this. I wound up being bashed and a pariah on Care2 when I tried to verify this last year.

If GILL wants to contact me, I can give him her email, or I can email her myself. She and I have exchanged several emails today, and that email address you listed is NOT the one I have for her.

These are the same ones. For several months we went crazy. She did not want to spilt the group up. I sent her pictures of the house, Pictures of the views where the cat could site to look out side, the address of the vets I use. I made all the arrangements for customs and my drive from N.J. to Toronto. I also have a friend in Toronto that is a cop. he checked on her. Then she decided that I was too far and she would not be able to vast. So the group was spilt. Now she just has the mother and daughter.
They are beautiful cats and need a great home. I just wish I could, but at 16 in the house and another foster coming I just can't stretch the walls any further

I remember this from before and have often wondered what happened to those cats.. Those two are beauties and are perfect for a older person (like in senior citizen) who wants or needs a companion but is to old to take on a young one. Anyone know of a senior that needs/wants a companion? Having a mother and daughter together would be such a plus, already bonded and twice the love.
