    Sadie girl

I am terribly worried here! Sadie has been coughing, kinds like she's going to cough up a hair ball, it's awful. So, we called the vet, and the vets think that Sadie possible has Kennel Cough! I'm terribly worried here, about my sadie girl! I told them that I took her to the dog festival last saturday, and they said she possibly could have picked it up from another doggy. Please keep my Sadie May in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks!

Oh, Sarah...Poor sweet Sadie May. Has the doctor prescribed any treatment?? Did he ask to exam her?? I remember you telling us what a great time Sadie Girl had at the festival last week. Sorry to hear she may have gotten sick after her fun weekend. Please give her tons of Labbie sized get well hugs and kisses from me, Star and Cody. We will be keeping her in our thoughts and prayers. Try not to worry too much. Kennel cough is no fun but after running it's course, the puppers all seem to bounce back just fine Love and hugs to you both. Sandra

    Re: Sadie girl

    Poor Sadie,

Like Sandra said if it is Kennel cough at least
it can run it's course and Sadie should be fine in
no time. Did your vet want to see Sadie to
make sure it was kennel cough?
Will be sending/wishing many good thoughts for
    Sadie to get well soon.

When Shiloh was in the kill shelter, she developed kennel cough. Lucky for her (and me), a dear, sweet lady with 10 acres of land and 5 GSDs volunteered to foster her til she was well. She never had to return to the shelter because on the day she was supposed to, there was a walk-a-thon, and the rest is history.

Shiloh has never suffered any ill affects of having had kennel cough. She is very healthy. Good luck to Sadie!!

I KNOW how scary sounding kennel cough is! Somehow, less than two weeks after we got Malone, he started hacking and everytime it sounded like his lung was ready to pop out of his chest. I was SOO worried. He was only 11 weeks old, and only had 2 sets of shots. I took him to the vets right off, and they didn't even prescribe meds or anything, because they said that kennel cough usually runs it's course & goes away by itself. I was very doubtful, but it took 3-4 weeks and then it just went away on it's own.

In the meanwhile, we will be thinking and praying for Sadie, and hoping that she gets over this real quick!! Malone sends big doggie kisses and hopes that Sadie gets extra special treats while she is sick.

I am glad that Sadie has improved some already. That is very encouraging.

I love your new signature. Is that Sadie?

Glad to hear Sadie is doing better already. Poor girl!

Drake gets a Kennel Cough shot once a year when he goes in for his annual check up and routine shots. Perhaps you can ask your vet about a shot.

So glad to know Sadie May is doing better. I hope that whatever is wrong will be cured very soon. She'll be in my thoughts. Big hug to you both.

Poor Sadie! Kennel Cough is No fun!!! My Cincy had it this spring (even though she had been vacinated) Until we could get to the vet and get meds, we gave her child's doses of cough syrup and put a vaporizer in her room. I thought Sadie was getting it too cuase she started coughingand I gave her one or two pills and the next day she was fine. After about a week or 10 days Cincy was fine too

Keep Feeling Better Sadie! We'll be thinking of you!

Well, the vet came, (our vet comes to your house!), and he gave her some medicine, and she's doing much better!
