    Makita

Makita is a great looking pup and I'm sure he will make a wonderful companion that will thrive on the love you give to him. His love is already a healing force in your life. What's good for his people will alway be his top priority. Just remember that your love for Makita will in no way diminish your love of Arrow. Our heart's capacity to love is infinite. When I lost my beloved Duke, a boxer, I was devastated and while I knew that I wanted to eventually get another dog, I just could not do so shortly after his death. Then a friend gave me some wonderful wisdom by saying "The greatest tribute you can pay to Duke is to give another pup a good home".
I hope that you and Makita will have many happy years together but your love for Arrow will always be in your heart and that is as it should be.

Aww Makita, what an adorable pup you are!!! There's nothing like a puppy to help heal a broken heart. It doesn't mean you no longer grieve the one you lost, just that you need another to love. Congratulations Makita on being our DOTD! I hope you have a fun day!

    Gorgeous, Handsome Little Makita !!!

Arrow will always remain in your family's hearts. There is no doubt. At the same time, you will be there to help mend their hearts. Makita, you won't take Arrow's place but you will establish your own place by being the loveable, adorable boy you are. The story your Mom writes is so familiar to us all. We love our pets so deeply, on the sad day they leave us, getting another pet can be the farthest thing from our minds. We are so happy that your family decided to bring you home. We can tell it was a great decision and love abounds in your home. Happiness is back again. We think Arrow might have had a paw in finding you, Little Man. Congrats on being our DOTD today. We hope you have a fun day filled with celebration. Please tell Mom to add some kisses for you from us to help. We wish you all continued happiness always!!!

Happy Dog of the Day to you, beautiful Makita! You are too precious for words, sweetheart! I'm so sorry to hear of your Mommy's great loss, the passing of your predecessor, her beloved Arrow. We can all relate to the indescribable heartbreak that comes with losing one our beloved furkids, a furry son or daughter. At times it feels as though we will never smile or laugh again; the thought of welcoming another into our hearts and homes, unthinkable. And then, oft times when we least expect it, in prances a joyful little furball such as you and suddenly our hearts are lifted with the prospect of welcoming a new addition to the family. No one will ever replace Arrow in your Mommy's heart, instead you will take your own very special, unique place right beside his. As has been said by one of my wise, fellow Pet Talkers, the greatest tribute your Mom can pay to Arrow is to provide a loving forever home to another deserving doggie...like you! Keep up the good work beautiful Makita, comforting your Mom and bringing so much happiness and joy to her life! No doubt Arrow is looking down from the Rainbow Bridge today, beaming with pride knowing his loving legacy is being carried on by a pup as special as you, comforted knowing his Mommy is smiling again! Enjoy your much deserved day of honor sweetheart, and every moment of your wonderful life! Hugs and kisses to you!!!

    Magnificient Makita!

Congratulations, Precious little one, on your appointment. I can't tell you how heartwarming I found your story. Maybe because Wolfenstein was my Makita. I had lost 3 babies within 8 months, 1 of which had been my heart. I know it is very hard to even consider another. But there you are! I am so very happy for your human Mom. I know that beautiful little face of yours just opened the door to her heart again. I hope you have a long, healthy, happy life filled with love and loved ones. Get your Mom to give you tummy rubs and nose kisses from us.
