I was recently on these forums talking about my beautiful (and sassy) Lynx-Point Siamese, Jolie. Today I finished filling out the paperwork to adopt a handsome 2 year-old male named Gotcho from the local shelter.
Apparently, he was previously owned by one of the girls working at the shelter but she had to put him up for adoption when she moved. I actually did my adoption interview with her and noticed she was really questioning me harder than I had ever been questioned with previous adoptions. It turns out that several other people had come into the shelter trying to adopt Gotcho, but she didn't really feel right letting him go home with any of them so she turned them all away.
At the end of the interview she said she was really happy and trusted that I would make a great home for him. I was absolutely honored that she trusted me with someone so special to her. I'm going back to pick him up on Friday, I'm so excited!
