There is a long story behind why/how these babies became ours and I'll write all that out for you later, but right now, I'd like you to meet Henry (black kitten) and Bo (orange kitten). We rescued them from the parking lot at a local Bojangles restaurant on Friday night. It was a family effort on the part of Scott, Helen and me. We all have the wounds to prove how hard it was, too! There are at least 10 more kittens that we can't get close to, but we are working on having them trapped and hopefully placed in loving homes. We just can't bring anymore into our home. Butter is not happy about it at all, but he'll be ok in time.
The kittens have been checked over by the vet, are negative for Feline Leukemia (thank goodness), had their first shots, worming, flea treatment, and are on antibiotics for Upper Respiratory infections, plus eye ointment for infected eyes. They are adorable and just what I have been wanting. Just didn't know I'd get 2 in the process!!
And here is the first meeting with Butter this afternoon. It was brief as we don't want them together yet, but he was very interested, then he was very MAD!!! But all is well. The kitties will be in isolation for about a week until we know that the infection is cleared up. They are eating well and getting used to the human touch. Both are male and are about 8 weeks old, best guess.
These pictures were taken on my cell phone, but we'll get better ones in the future.
