I loved the story of nonamom and her 9 ducklings. I have one minor nitpik of your title "mom gives birth to nine". There are over 9000 species of birds and not even one gives Birth. I guess a title like "mom hatches 9" would not have the same ring.

I was scarred at a very young age, my older idiot sister told me I was hatched, not born.
