    How much is 900 kg?

    All creatures great and small

A chihuahua has made an amazing recovery in Australia after being stepped on by her best mate - a 900kg Clydesdale horse.

Little Berry was happily playing with her friend Leroy when the giant horse accidentally trod on her head.

Owner Abbey Newton, of Geelong, near Melbourne, said: "Leroy stepped back, right on her head. There was just this little tiny bit of her nose sticking out. I thought she was dead.

"There was this horrible high-pitched screaming noise. It was terrible".

Berry was rushed to the vet who offered to put the little dog down but Abbey decided to take her home to die.

Anxiously she checked on Berry every hour throughout the night and, to her astonishment, in the morning she seemed to have made a complete recovery.

"In the morning she just got up and ate the other dog's breakfast," added Mrs Newton. "She's had nine lives and it's cost me every time."

BIG Quarter Horse Stud = 1
    Dog's Soccer Ball = 0
    Shock Factor = Priceless!

First Shepherd Casey was looking for ANYone to *kick* her favorite toy / Soccer Ball

Only available warm body = IMAGE, the BIG (16 hand) Quarter Horse stud
who was tied in the aisle of the horse barn.

    Image & Casey had a bit of a love/hate relationship - Casey was ALWAYS around;
and Image had been *told* The Dawg was a Favorite Child -
DON'T hurt the Dawg! He put up with her ...

She had *tossed* her Soccer Ball under his feet at least a dozen times ...
when it hit a foot, he'd move the foot - she was sure he was *kicking* it for her = Game ON!

The more she grabbed the ball and *tossed* it at his feet, the more upset he got!

I was about to suggest to Casey that she give it a rest - when it happened!
The tossed ball bumped his rear leg ... he tossed his head and picked up his BIG hoof ...
And **STOMPED** it down squarely on the Soccer Ball ...

    ****Ka-BOOOOOOOOOOM****

Dust filtered down from the roof trusses for 5 minutes ...
Da Horse jumped straight up a good two feeet and seemed to hang there ...
Casey took off like she'd been shot ...
The phone rang - the House wanted to know "WHAT Happened?"
Followed by "Hey, Casey's here - shaking like a leaf!"

The Favorite Toy/Soccer Ball was never the same --- it had a split that
covered 1/2 its diameter --- its kicking daze were over.

And da Horse could be backed into a corner by da Dawg - IF she was carrying
her special weapon - the BOOM-Ball.
