Please make sure that if you get another rat soon that you keep him quarantined for a minimum of 4-6 weeks in a separate household. Viruses such as SDA, Sendai etc. can spread very quickly, and even though the new rat may seem healthy it can carry something deadly. If it isn't possible to quarantine in a separate air space you can place the rat in another room on the other side of the house, making sure you wash hands and change clothes after handling each. Some people even go as far as showering.But, I know not everyone is that careful.
Your rat is very very cute, and so is your oxytle...or however you spell it.
