    Mustard

Congrats on being the POTD. What a cool pet you must be. I love ducks, too and you are very handsome. Sounds like you have brought your human alot of love and companionship that one only gets from a pet. Way to go!!!!!!!

Good morning and a very happy Pet of the Day to you, darling Mustard! What a beautifully written, heart tugging tribute your human has shared with us today! Oh what a story, indeed! I felt as though I were right there with you and your mom to be on Grandpa's farm that fateful day; picturing every detail of your precious, beautiful, little self; experiencing that special moment when you and she sealed the deal! "A little duck with a big heart and kind soul..." Yes Mustard, that you are ! And your human's "favorite person!" hehe Now that's what I call a soul mate, for life!!! It was clear from the moment you and your guardian locked eyes that your hearts were locked as well; no doubt about it, you and your person were meant to be together; loyal and loving best friends forever and always! What an honor it has been to have met you Mustard, to have learned of your happy homecoming and the beautiful life you have been blessed with! Just one question...how does a duck not love water? Perhaps you are human after all!
Congratulations and lots of love to you on your much deserved day of honor, precious Mustard! Enjoy your special day in the spotlight, and each and every minute of your happy, joyful, love filled life! I hope for you and your Mom many, many more happy years together!!!

    Mustard, the Duck

Hooray for Mustard! I have always loved ducks and wished I had one but it hasn't worked out, living in the sprawling metropolis of Lexington, KY. Well, it does sprawl and we are around 300,000 or so.
    Back to Mustard-
We are extremely blessed when an animal responds to us in a positive way. What if our Creator had made all animals mean and unlovely, but He didn't, did He? Being Who He is, He gave us precious encounters with animals which will remain all through our lives as wonderful memories. Although it always breaks my heart when I lose one of my animal friends, I am grateful for their being in my life.
I wish Mustard a long and happy duck life, with lots of duck talk and the like. You are blessed to have him.
Take care and may you be much blessed.
    Love to the world,
    Jim

What a lovely story is yours, handsome Mustard! Love at first sight it was, and neither you nor your loving guardian has ever looked back. A few decades ago I had a pet duck (Jerusha) and she was never fond of water, either. I raised her from an egg in an incubator and she was imprinted to me so to her I was her Mom and she followed me everywhere. Wish I knew there were diapers for ducks back then! I'm glad you have such a devoted Mom and you were chosen POTD so we could all get acquainted with you, dear Mustard. Enjoy your deserved day in the limelight, and many special years together with your soulmate!

Well, I guess I just have to admit it! I am very jealous of your wonderful relationship with Mustard.

What a loving story you have shared of your meeting and now love-filled life with Mustard. He is so handsome - and I love the way he is looking right at the camera in one of the photos.

Enjoy every precious moment with him - and I hope those moments grow into years and years of your special bond.

Both of you are very lucky to have found each other.
