Well I got my new camera today. A Nikon D40. I am extremely amateur and most of my pics are taken with the auto setting... some are taken with the macro setting. Just thought I would share a few

Wow, I'm jealous! I want a new camera so bad. That's why I don't post pictures very often anymore.
Well, congrats on the new camera. Now I can't wait to see more pix of Hannah and the dogs.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Very good!! Looks like you know already how to handle the Nikon.

A friend of mine has the same camera, and I saw some of his pics. It's a great cam!

Thank you the nice thing about the Nikon D40 is it is REALLY user friendly. that was my main criteria when looking for a new camera. I wanted something I could use right out of the box but also something that I could learn and grow with. So all of these pics have basically been on auto mode. I'm not messing with the manual focus yet. still reading the manual and it is so confusing lol.

So for anyone who is intereseted in getting a DSLR but is a beginner I highly recommend the D40. GREAT for beginners. YOu can take it out of the box and take great pics.

it does feel great in my hands though lol. feels so natural. I love this camera.

And I have a great model lol. I swear it looks like she's posing for me sometimes
