    I wasn't watching you..pic

"Oh, Hi, Mom. No I wasn't watching you. Just laying on my doghouse minding my own business".

That doghouse is against a window specifically so Anvik can watch me when I'm inside. It greatly reduces his use of the Anvik Death Howl, which he reserves not for serious emergencies, injuries ect....it is only used when he doesn't know where I am. He's a momma's boy!

What a handsome boy, laying in the sun, looking sleepy and warm, even though I am sure it was quite cold out there!

Only -20C or so that day...I think that's about -5F. Anvik's dog house is tucked under the roof overhang so it never gets snow on the roof.

Hi, Ani! I agree with Karen - you are so very handsome! I'd like to reach right through the monitor to give you hugs.

That doghouse is against a window specifically so Anvik can watch me when I'm inside.

It greatly reduces his use of the Anvik Death Howl,
which he reserves not for serious emergencies, injuries ect ....

    He's a momma's boy!
I think Heidi (Mini~Mutt) might have been Anvik's 'under-study' for the Drama Kid role ...
She only "comes" when it suits her ... and if she's either COLD enough, or WET enough,
or HUNGRY enough ... then I'd better open the door NOW!

She announces her intention (to come *IN* - NOW!) with a soft *knock*
on the front door and a quite mellow lil *YIPP* for good measure.
That starts the 45 second response clock.

If there's no opening of the door - she gets "serious" ...
***BARKING*** that makes Cinder sound like a puppy - delivered at
machine-gun speed - together with *HAMMERING* on the front door that
makes the UPS guy's *knock* sound like he wears a boxer's glove.

I think I can imagine how the Anvik Death Howl sounds ...

Ohhh, that sounds more like Hobo's Magic Door Opening bark! After the wolf attack, Hobo could only be outside for a few minutes at a time. He would woof when he wanted back in. Magically, he woofed, I opened the door. Five years later, fully recovered, Hobo still woofs when he wants in and get more and more insistent until I comply! It's the only time Hobo barks. He woos, sings, howls at other times, but he only woofs when he wants in the house RIGHT NOW!!

    Fantastic pic Tamara.

The little Murph-Man doesn't yip or yap to come in ........ NOooooooo, he headbutts the doggie door "lock" until it pops open, and he squishes himself in....
