Winter has arrived in the deep south! (more pics added)

It is SNOWING in Baton Rouge and all around it so we are covered.. 2 to 4 inches of snow. I have not seen this much snow since I moved down here about 40 years ago. I do have to admit it is pretty but already there are road and bridge closures everywhere. They are worried what the weight of the snow will do to down power lines. I was NOT dreaming of a white Christmas!

Barbara, you can tell your colleague that SC is getting lots of rain right now, with mild temperatures.

That snow is amazing, Laura!!!! Who would have thought it would snow in Baton Rouge??

    M'dear, that's just a *dusting*!

I thought about you when I turned on the tv this morning and they said you guys were getting snow. How cool!

Right now we are still get downpours of rain but they said as the cold front moves in it should change to wet snow by evening. Crazy weather!

Apparently it snowed a bit in Texas yesterday as well. You all need to come up to WI to visit. We've currently got 3 feet in the yard and 4 feet in the terraces where the plow goes by. More than what we normally have going into January. And the crazy dogs still love to play in it.

So pretty, and you are right--not something you see much of in Louisiana, especially in Baton Rouge. I wonder if my parents have gotten any in NE LA?

Up here in Michigan, we got a whole bunch just within a few days

On two different days, we got like a foot or more each day!! It was crazy. But it's gotta be weird for you guys, because you aren't used to that!!
