We're are simply loving the above quote that Sam's human made. We plan to use that alot around here. What a handsome boy you are, Mr. Sam!!! We can't believe you were a stray. Giant kudos to your humans for saving you. Those wounds could have turned into a very bad situation if not fixed right away. You're a true gem of a doggie. Congrats on your big day in the spotlight as our Wednesday DOTD!!! You are so deserving of this honor. Oh Sam, are you really a big old goober? That sounds so adorable. I'm so glad your family took you in when they did. I know you must have looked pretty frightening at the time, but it's amazing what a good vet and lots of love can do for a fellow. You are so handsome now, Sam. Good afternoon handsome, hunky, sweet Sam and happy Dog of the Day to you! How precious are YOU!!! Thank you for suffering the indignity of being "dressed up!" That mini cowboy hat is just too much! But look at that smile! Oh, that's one happy, much loved pup I see staring back at me! You certainly hit the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that fateful day you stumbled upon your humans...or maybe that's the other way around, lol! Once homeless, you are now clearly one of the most loved and cherished 4 leggers on the planet! No surprise to learn you won over your once not so GSD loving Mom so handily...how could she resist a dog as beautiful, loyal and loving as you! My heart breaks reading of the neglect you must have suffered in your early life, of your very serious health challenges. But thanks to the dedicated care and devotion of your wonderful family those sad and trying times are but a distant memory! Nothing but good times and happy days from here on in!

Awww, such a handsome guy! My Rusty shares a similar story..he's a GSD, rescued from the pound. Also had some anxiety problems in the beginning, but now so loving and so "pushy" when it comes to his slice of the love pie too! Congratulations on DOTD!
