Hee hee! Are you folks up there in the Great White North enjoying all this melodrama?

Ummm....is it REALLY like the cartoon???
We get melodrama here, but only for 6 weeks or so.
One cute line from the election debates:
Prime Minister Harper, seen as kind of cold by many people, was given an image change by wearing a sweater vest for almost all of the campaign. Became kind of a joke - Harper is warm and fuzzy now just because he wears a SWEATER? We're not that dumb!
Then came the party leaders' debate, English version. Harper's party, the Conservatives, was the ONLY party at that point to not have unveiled their platform.
During the debate, NDP leader Jack Layton addressed Harper on this: "Where's your platform? Under the sweater?" Totally deadpan; quite funny!
"Do or do not. There is no try." -- Yoda
Good one. That is cute, even rather sweet in a way! I especially like the deadpan presentation. A fitting response to the assumption that voters are so naive and/or stupid they'll be conned by a wardrobe change.
AND, speaking of Canadian humor and the American election..
