    Help: kitties don't get along!

We have three cats: two indoor and one outdoor. The outdoor cat is new and does not like the two indoor cats. Any advice on helping them get along?

If the outdoor cat doesn't like the indoor cats, well, he's out and they're in so I'm not sure I understand the problem.

now that it is cold, we want the outdoor kitty to stay inside more, we're concerned it is too cold for her. She is a bully with the other kitties. Do you have any suggestions on easing the transition between kitties?

Are both indoor kitties neutered boys? How often is she inside now? What is one of their interactions like?

If the indoor kitties aren't neutered, that could be part of the problem. If the outdoor kitty doesn't come in that often, she could be upset and taking it out on the indoor kitties. Whenever I've had cats that didn't get along, I kept the troublemaker isolated and gradually introduced them to each other, just a little bit at a time. However, if you let her go back outside then you'll probably have the same problem all over again. Cats like consistency; they hate change. Once she comes inside and becomes docile, it's a good idea to keep her in permanently. Good luck w/this situation. I know it's tough when cat fights occur.
    Blessings,
    Mary

I agree with Medusa I would get her in and keep her in. Make sure that every one is fixed. It may take some time but it is worth it. Our Sweety is a feral that we trapped. Her daughter Boots is from her 2nd litter, she is semi-feral. It took about 3 months before they both stop trying to go out. Boots was chased fro a long time by almost every body. Now only once in a while by Lenny. Boots I can give a small pet once in awhile, but Sweety is all Feral, we can talk to her and she will talk back, but after almost 6 years we can not get closer than 5 feet. I would not have it any other way I know she is safe and cared for. She does like to snuggle with Mits (her son, 1st litter) and boots on the bed

In the thread about "I'm so sad" I posted a link to a page that gives very good advice on how to introduce a new cat to a household. Some of the ideas there might help. Here it is again.
