I was looking through the dogs on Planned Pethood, as I often do and saw this picture of one of their newest saves. Made me think first, how wonderful rescue groups are, and then how terrible people can be to their animals. At least Daisy is safe now and will someday find a good forever home
Daisy: A 2-3 year old, 15 pound female Dachshund mix that was rescued on 9/7 from
the Wood County Dog Pound where she was due to be put down the next day. She
was frightened, covered in fleas, breathing too heavy and very pregnant. She was also
diagnosed with heartworm after we rescued her which will make her delivery very
hard. Keep a good thought for this little one. After she delivers her babies-- she will
be treated for her heartworm and need a long recovery time. It will be probably be
close to the end of the year before Daisy is finally ready for adoption. Daisy is very
sweet and appears to be housebroken. Contact foster mom direct if you wish at
