Man! I can't tell you of the fun we had. That was the greatest trip I have ever had and Rie and I had tons of fun the whole way up on the train, the whole time we were there and all the way back. Eddie and his family left Virginia the day we left on the train (Friday) and were in Atlanta to pick us up at the train station.

Saturday we went to Stone Mountain..
Took the train ride around the mountain
Rie taking a break with Joey (my great grandson) He is the cutiest little boy in the world!
Eddie and me at the Atlanta train depot.
He had to pull this all the way BY himself and people starred at us "adults" for making him pull this but he refused to let anyone else do it! SO cute!
Rie and I with the mountain in the background... waiting for the laser light show.
My grandson Tony and Joey on the merry go round.

A cute guy named Kyle we met on the train that kept the trip back from being boring..
This was the best vacation/trip I ever had anywhere in my whole life. The train ride was 12 hours up and back. The laser show at Stone Mountain was spectacular and worth the train fare and time spent traveling but being with Eddie and his family was the best part of it all! We just had a great time spending time together talking and acting silly, he and Rie acting like bad little kids and picking on each other.
He is looking so good now, has gained far to much weight after his accident but he just looks SO good! His scars are not nearly as bad as I had expected and being Mom, I had to look at them all.. I suspect the burn scars on his torso are going to fade a lot more over time and they are hardly noticable on his hands and arms. Funny thing is some of the new skin is tanning and some of it isn't. He is so much more outgoing since that happened to him and he wasn't at all embarrassed that I was pulling up his shirt to look at his chest and back.. This trip was a dream come true for me and I thank God he gave me this chance and always will..
