Update...again. Good and Bad News.

I really am terrible at staying active on this forum.

Thought I'd let you all know how Travis is doing.

Bad news first,

Travis has Hip Dysplasia. It's pretty severe too. He also has something wrong with his Thyroid. He's on Rimadyl, Soloxine, and Glucosamine [with MSM and Chondroitin]. Doesn't phase him one bit though

He's still the same old happy-go-lucky dog.

Good news now.

He is enrolled in a six week course which will end with him receiving his CGC.
After his CGC, we can finally get his TDI and start our Therapy work!

And ofcourse, I have pictures of the happy boy.

It's nice to see you! I'm sorry Travis is having all those problems.

Please give him a hug for me. The pictures are nice and I like the pawprints around them.

I'm sorry to hear about Travis.

It sucks when it happens to such a young and active dog. They never know their own limits.

So sorry to hear about Travis. Glad to hear that he isn`t letting it phase him, though, and that he is otherwise living well. Great pics.

Oh noooo!! HD is such an awful disease

Did you OFA or Penn Hip?? Just curious. I need to do Ivy very soon, but I am honestly nervous. I know it's nothing I can prevent, but it's just something that really puts you on edge.

I am so sorry to head about Travis... HD is just a huge bummer, and it's so common in his wonderful breed. =,( I really hope that he can live comfortably, whatever it takes. And I hope you figure out what's going on with his thyroid. Has he been losing weight?

The pictures are awesome, as always. It's nice to see that he is still playful and active. I'm sure it helps that he's such a muscular boy! Good luck with the CGC classes, I'm sure they will be a cinch. : )

Glad to hear Travis is doing good now. He's looking great and the HD doesn't seem to phase him one bit while playing with that ball

Poor boy, at least you have figured out what it is and can get the meds to help him.

He has such gentle eyes, and is overall just such a handsome pup! Good luck to him in receiving his CGC, he will make a great therapy dog... everyone will love him just as much as all of us do.
Miles and Katy are adorable, as well. I think I'm a sucker for Miles, I just want to give him a big hug! ;D

Poor pup. Mz K-lo sends tail wags and sympathy 'cause she has hip dyspasia too. The trials and tribulations of a GSD. She also says "Keep on runnin' and playin'*! She does..those critters don't stand a chance.
