Searches...is it just me or...

I have noticed this especially in the Dog House, where I will want to add an update to an older thread as opposed to posting a new one. But twice I have had to post new ones.

I know many threads are the 'past due' date and have fallen off the list. However, the older threads usually show up. But now when I use the search function, and enter a keyword - recently trying five different ones - I get 'no results'.

I tried the Advanced Search today - and still no luck.

Has something changed in the Search feature?

We have the search feature turned off for the Dog House, so people don't think this is just a place to discuss politics, or upsetting topics, as we are primarily a Pet board. However, if you want to update a thread YOU posted, go to your own profile and "find posts by user" or, if you know an exact phrase, you can Google it, as long as you put it in quotes, and search "site: Petoftheday.com: and then the phrase.

Also, you can find older threads, just change the search criteria under "Advanced Search."
