Photos of the VERY old town where I spent the summer

As you may know, I spent the first part of the summer at a clinic in Bad Gandersheim to try to recover from various health problems that I have...

The clinic was in Bad Gandersheim, a very old town which was first mentioned in 852, and which has a strong historical and cultural background; very interesting. There are several convents, and a very old church.

Some of you have asked me for photos of a town that old (more than 1,000 years old), so here they are:

Oh Kirsten, what a lovely town!! I love those old buildings!

What a difference to the clinic you stayed at. The surrounding area looks nice though.

It's so sweet that you have photos of Luna and Lily by your bed. Give them some kisses from me and Fister.

Oh how pretty! I enjoy going to places with a lot of history. Nowhere in the US has THAT much history though! Someday I hope to go to places like that.
Thanks for giving us a peek!

WOW Kirsten, all of those pictures of the town could be postcards! They are wonderful.

I smiled when I saw your room, complete with your girls at your bedside!

    Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Not all of the pictures are loading all the way for some reason.. but from what I can see, it looks like such a lovely town! What I would give to be able to visit somewhere so full of history and beauty...

I will try to see the pictures again later in hopes that all of them will show up then.

    Kirsten:
What wonderful pictures and such a quaint little town. The one thing that strikes me right off the bat is the lack of traffic and so few people walking around. I love the architecture. Oh yes, and I notice pictures of your love furbabies beside your bed. I'm sure they were a great comfort to you while you were there. I love that sick painting too! Glad you are back home and hope you are feeling much better.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Yes, it's a beautiful little town, even older than the one I live in.

Really? Do you remember Frankfurt well? How old were you when you left?

I think I wouldn't have made it without their photos! I missed them soooo much!

I'm not quite sure what it was last night, but I am able to see them all today.
I love how older places have a great deal more detail in their architecture, its a fresh change from the majority of what you see around here. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful part of the world with us!
