    the biting cat ps

postscript to laila, my naughty tortie, who still tries to bite my gentle boy even though they have been living together for 4 years - i might add that last year she had very bad gingivitis which could have something to do with the very bad case of cat flu she had while still at the shelter & she had to have all her teeth out except for 1 canine tooth at the bottom. i was very upset for her because she is only 5 but though she looks a little silly with 1 tooth she still bites with it. she bites me sometimes too & i can testify that being bitten by her 1 tooth is just as painful as a mouthful of teeth. ooouch! eva, mrs cat

Yes, one pointy tooth is all it takes! lol

My take on the biting - she gets stimulated/aroused (not necessarily sexually) by the brushing, and it's natural to go bite your other cat in the neck.

Just as an experiment - give her a moment of cool down time after the brushing. Maybe some soft treats that you can give right after you finish brushing her.

See if that breaks the 'mood'.

On the other hand...she IS a Tortie!
