I failed fostering 101.. meet my new additions!

I filled out the application a couple weeks ago. He's all mine now!

Here's Cheese! (I've grown to like the name LOL)

Cheese and his momma (with no makeup )

And his sister Livia, who officially became mine last Monday

Livia was found on Vancouver Island in a school field. She's estimated to be about 6 months. I have NO idea how they caught her cause she's always go-go-go. It was SO hard getting photos of her!

I picked up a MASSIVE new (used) cage for them too. It can comfortably hold 6-7 adults, but the lucky two get it all to themselves.

    Yay! Congratulations!

I probably would have been in the same boat if I had been fostering them. The look on Cheese's face in the first picture just makes me melt. He looks like such a squish!

Livia is a beautiful little girl, and how lucky she is to have been found in that school field. Amazing.

Aww, is he part rex? His fur looks curly-ish! They are both adorable, no wonder you "failed" fostering!

I pondered that too, Karen! But I think it's just a boy thing.. the lady who was fostering Livia said that she has noticed boys are just typically a bit more rough and wavier than girls are.

OMG, I cannot tell you how much I love that first picture of Cheese. He is adorable! He is so darn cute in that picture he looks like he could star in a Saturday morning kid's show.

Oh Binka_Nuggett, what beautiful ratties!!! Congratulations!!!!

I do't think my Winkie is doing very well. It's hot and humid and I've noticed no matter what I put in his dish, he won't touch it. I hope it's just the weather.

Looky, looky, it's Cheese! Oh that first photo, my goodness what a delightful expression! He is very dear.

And Livia is a VERY fortunate lady, being found in a FIELD??? Wow.

And now having a HUGE cage to roam in when she isn't out and aobut with you and Cheese.

    Great photos, thanks.

Thanks everyone! Cheese is such a momma's boy. His favorite hiding place is inside my hair LOL.. he refuses to leave sometimes

There's a rat show tomorrow afternoon. I plan on going to pick up some new toys and hammocks. I'm toying with the idea of picking up another male. There are some breeders and rescues w/rats available tomorrow.. we'll see what happens. (I've already got a name picked out LOL)

Hello, Cheese and Livia ... you look like you just stepped out of a Disney movie! Cheese, what a cute name.

I was good and decided not to add another one just yet. I'm going to Florida for a week at the end of September.. I figured it'd be a better idea to add a baby afterwards
