    Cyan

I'm not sure how many of you remember this thread. But the mother of this puppy went to the RB this past Saturday.
She belonged to my friends sister. My friend describes her as "completely rambunctious, wild, goofy, sweet, and loyal. She LOVED water, and loved to get other people wet...lol. She would grab the sprinkler/hose thing and would chase us around with it. lol
She was surprisingly gentle, with children, and even with my sister when she was pregnant.
She was loved. That's what she was."
She was just 4 years old. Here is what happened (copied (mostly) from an email from my friend): She got loose. Like she liked to do. A 5 year old at the house apparently didn't get the gate latched completely. Danielle (her sister) went after her, in her bare feet, and actually saw her come out between 2 houses and stop. So Danni kinda snuck up on her, Cyan saw her, and bolted. This guy comes around the corner, never saw her. He got out, felt HORRIBLE, carried her (Cyan) back to the neighbors house, which she wasn't a small dog, and laid her on the grass while Danni went to get the truck to take her to the ER. Mom stopped Danni before she got out of the driveway, cause Cyan was gone. The guy that hit her felt so bad he offered to pay for everything, get Danni another puppy, etc, and Danni told him it wasn't his fault, and hugged him and sent him on.
I mentioned Danni's bare feet cause in running after Cyan she actually burned her feet on the asphalt. She had blisters, and she couldn't walk for 2 days.

Anyway, here are some pictures of the beautiful Cyan (pronounced sigh-ann).

I know this is a LONG thread. So if you finished it, thank you for looking.

RIP Cyan. I'm sorry I never got to meet you, but I will one fine day. There are many great pups up there that will show you around.

I am going to send this link to the family.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

How tragic for everyone involved, the driver, the daughter who followed and tried to get her back home, and the family.

Cyan, now you can run free all you like at the Bridge, enjoy sweetie, and you will be reunited with your family.
    One fine day.
