    Duuuuuuuuke!!

Ohh, Duke, you are one precious basset hound! I just bet that big old nose gets you in lots of trouble ... but that's what it's for!

I'm glad your mom and dad saved you as a wee little pup, and you have a wonderful home now.

You remind me of my RB bassie, Sadie Mae. Her nose got her in trouble too ... but those adorable basset hound howls made up for it all.

Congratulations, Duuuuuuke, on being Dog of the Day!

"We give dogs the time we can spare, the space we can spare and the love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made" - M. Facklam

"We are raised to honor all the wrong explorers and discoverers - thieves planting flags, murderers carrying crosses. Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams."- P.S. Beagle

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien

Good morning, Duke! What a handsome boy you are in this photo, it really does show you off quite well. And you have a loving family who care about you so very much, what a lucky fella you are!

Hope you get an extra treat and maybe an extra walk for sniffing time as well, to celebrate your special day, as you are honored as Dog of the Day!

    Darling Duke !!!

Who doesn't love an adorable Basset Hound? Hello, Mr. Cutie Patootie. We love those sad eyes and giant pawsies. We're happy that your family took you at an early age because your owners didn't want you. They have done a really good job with you. You look like a very healthy, big boy. Congrats on your big day, sweetie!! Please tell the family to plant some kisses on that sweet facie from us to celebrate. Happiness always!!!

Love, Daisy and Delilah in Sunny Florida

Hi Dukie! You sure are a cute boy. The different colors throughout your body are just amazing I think you look like a big boy...even older than your 4 months of age so your humans have done a great job of raising you from a weeee pup...so glad you seem to be adjusting well to life, even after your scary start away from your mom and littermates so young. Thanks to your great humans and have a wonderful day as top dog, no, pup...which would make you Pup of the Day
