    update: Need help--CT

LisainCan needs help to save this pupper http://handicappedpet.net/helppets/v...p?f=18&t=11281 . She's registered here at PT but can't post for some reason. She says, "I need someone local to pull. Then I need the transport group to bring her through NY and as close to the Can. border as possible. I would find a vet in that city and get the dog checked and get a vet certificate so we can cross into Canada." Can anybody help?

    Where in NY

Where in NY would she be crossing the border? I could help with transport and possibly finding a vet for a health check in the Buffalo area. You can also try contacting Brightstar German Shepherd Rescue - they have quite a lot of contacts throughout NY and they pull from out of state shelters all the time. All they need to cross the border is a current rabies vaccination, which I'm sure the shelter has to do before it is adopted.

OK, thanks. I'll pass the word; maybe she can post by now.

    Hi there,

    Yes I can post now!

I am really far from Buffalo. I am nearer to Plattsburgh. Is this doable for you?

That is too far for me, but contact Brightstar - they have contacts throughout NY. They might be able to help you and give you some direction. I don't know if they work with private pulls, but they should be able to point you in the right direction - http://brightstargsd.org/

Have you contacted the person who posted her? See if they are willing to work with you. Lots of shelters now days have protocols in transferring dogs to other locations, especially ones that are posting on a global forum like dogs in danger.

    Good Luck!
