I have to second what LHCamry said in the above post. Lucy, I am so happy that you and your mom found one another as it seems to be a perfect match. Only problem, like LH, I want you too. Maybe one day I will visit a Miniture Pincher rescue site (like your Mom did) and find my own Lucy Jane. If that were to happen, I will think of you.

Congratulations on the honor you have been bestowed today. You have just what it takes to be a Dog of the Day. But in truth we are the ones who are blessed to be able to get to know a very special dog such as yourself. We are so very sorry to hear of your beginning. It is awful that terrible people treat little sweethearts so badly. We can only keep praying that these horrid behaviors will be eradicated some day.
