    Have you changed anything in your browser or system software?

    They seem to be working fine as far as I can tell ...

    And do they work if you simply type them in?

    Like = colon, capital D
    = : confused : (without spaces)
    = : ) (without space)

    etc?

    Not recently - that was quite a while ago, the last time we did a software upgrade!

    Mine have been moving about too. They at least stay in their box, just playing with my little brain! Smiley here. Nope smiley there. Smiley there, nope, smiley over yonder.

    They've been changing every day for me. ( I make a point now to check
    which one is where ) (there you go). I thought that's just how it
    was supposed to be now.

    I guess I'm confused about what you are talking about. I see no smilies at all, but it's probably because of my settings? The only time I see smilies is when I click the "smilies" link at the very bottom of the page.

    EDIT: I mean I see smilies in individual posts just not a "box" of them somewhere when I'm making a post or reply, etc.

    Glad you mentioned it. Yes! They change positions regularly, actually.
