New puppy help me if you can.

Hello everyone! I am new to the site, as this is my first post! I adopted a new pup last Saturday. I named him Brocko. At the pound they told me he was Yellow lab mix but they did not know his other half. I was hoping some expert pet owners could help me identify Brock's other half. I was also told he was 9 to 10 weeks. His weight @ the pound was 24.5 lbs I think this was inaccurate. I am going to pick up a scale today. How much should a lab pup weigh at 10 weeks? Any gausses on how big he will get?

I am enclosing a pic of the Brockanator! Thank you in advance.

He's adorable! It's hard top guess what his "other half" is right now, maybe something with a wider face and shorter ears like a Staffordshire Terrier ...

Oh, and I wanted to add he's just a few weeks, age-wise, behind MoonandBeam's pup - see http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=143255 for Sunny's progress!

Oh yes, I thought right away that he looks like Sunny when we first got her. Your boy looks a little older/bigger than Sunny was at 9 weeks so I would estimate Brocko to be around 10 weeks and around 13 pounds. He is SOOO cute. Please post lots of pics...I look forward to watching him grow. My guess is that Sunny will be around 50-60 pounds so would guess about the same for Brocko. I think he looks like a lab/terrier mix (same as Sunny)

Oh indeed I will. I plan on weighing him real soon. I'll measure and post some numbers. I am amazed at how fast this breed learns. I have had him one week today and he is blowing me away with his intelligence and sweet charm.

    First off... CUTE GUY!

We just adopted a 3 year old 62 pound version of your little fellow a few weeks ago.

As to Brocko's other half, hard to tell now, but could show up in a few weeks. Rusty our Lab/RR came from the pound at 12 weeks of age, 28 lbs and tagged Lab/XX. About 4 weeks later there was no question what the other half was... Rhodesian Ridgeback! While he is ridgeless, his color, head shape, and ears were the give away, and his personality proved to be very much Ridgeback. So much so that for the past ten years he's been treated as a RR.

Just keep taking those baby photos, the odds are you will have a good idea of the other half shortly.
