Wasn't there a thread about getting Ginger a playmate??
I really like Teegan. I like the name too.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

I was trying to get some more info about the possibility of someday getting her a playmate and that led me to (foolishly ) open petfinder! If any of these pups are at Petsmart tomorrow when I am there for Ginger's puppy class it is going to be so hard to walk away without one....

I actually got my heart dog (Zoe) from a friend on the petfinder boards. The shelter she was at is unlisted but my friend volunteered there and Zo-ish had been therefor 6months. I traveled two hours to get here. She's the other half of my heart.

My Persian, Tipper Lee was also a Petfinder find.

Petfinder is a hard place for me to visit. An even harder place would be to visit a shelter when I am not looking. To me it would be like an alcoholic walking into a bar.

Edit: After oohing and aahing over the three dogs you posted, I went to the site of the shelter where I got Ripley and saw this little guy. Good thing it is 45 min. from me. I know I am a very weak person. See what I mean? *sigh* He is calling out to me too.

Yes Petfinder can be bad! That's where Jake came from. I saw him and his littermates on there and actually, although I liked them, I went for a different puppy and changed my mind and came home with Jake!

    I like Tegan.
I was browsing petfinder in December on my lunch break, which I do often, and came across Chloe - she's now ours! She's such a great dog. I can't believe someone gave up, lost or left her behind.

I occasionally browse rescues, too. It's very hard to pass certain dogs sometimes, but then I think of Ivy and I realize how badly I don't need another dog

Ginger and I have been discussing the possibility. But I am thinking that we should get a much smaller dog. More along the lines of Ceader (posted by Pam). Pam I called the shelter, Ceader has already been adopted.

Oh Joyce I am so glad. You know how your heart skips a beat when you see a certain dog? Well it was skipping. I am so glad to know that the little guy has a forever home.

Have you told Ginger about Romy? ( I know I am bad! )
