    Another Moose incident!

    Woooos, another moose incident today!
Maybe Deuce's Moose was just trying to find a safe place to stand?

Pogo Moose Incident - Fairbanks , Alaska

"They were laying new power cables which were strung on the ground for miles. The moose are rutting right now and very agitated. He was thrashing around and got his antlers stuck in the cables. When the men (miles away) began pulling the lines up with their big equipment, the moose went up with them. They noticed excess tension in the lines and went searching for the problem. He was still alive when they lowered him to the ground. He was a huge 60 inch bull and slightly peeved!"

The moose was alive when they found him... but decided it was too dangerous to tranquilize him so they killed him.

    Yikes, poor moosie!

They are not the gentle giants they appear to be. Moose are dangerous animals, especially when stressed, in rut or in pain. This guy was probably all three! I don't know why a tranqu. would have been too dangerous. I hope they donated his meat to a food bank or elder's group, so his death wasn't completely in vain. The First Nations elders around here always appreciate a donation of moose meat.

omg...I've never seen anything like that in my life. Can you imagine coming across that? Poor moose though. It's a shame they killed it.
