The Hardware Ranch <wildlife/horse photos>

Earlier this week I went up to the Hardware Ranch with my parents. Its a place where they feed the elk in the winter, so a large number of them gather there. They are wild elk, and though you see fences in some of the pics, they aren't fully fenced in or anything. They have horse drawn sleigh rides out into the herd to get a closer view.

Here's some photos, I hope you enjoy them.

There were two others a little further up as well, but there wasn't a place to stop so all the pictures I took of them while the car was moving turned out blurry.

I visited an elk refuge once in Jackson Hole Wyoming. I think that was my favorite vacation!

But I can tell you I did NOT take such fabulous photos! Wonderful!

Amy those are FABULOUS pictures, so breathtaking! The snow looks soo pretty, I wish I could be there.

My family and I went snowmobiling last weekend, we had a BLAST!!!

Amy - I am so insanely jealous of your nature that surrounds you. I would love to have elk, moose and mule deer so close to me. Makes me want to live out west even more. Gorgeous pics.
